Q. Do you comply with current building regulations?– A. Yes, we have engineers and building certifiers that check the building at different stages throughout construction.
Q. Can you build from my plan? – A. Yes we can.
Q. Can you help me with the design of my new home or renovation? – A. We have an excellent long term architect that we can refer you to, for all your design needs. Barrie has over 40 years of experience, and he can work with you to custom design your dream home to meet your requirements.
Q. Do I have to organise my own engineer and council approval? – A. No, we can do all this for you.
Q. How long will my home take to build? – A. It depends on the site and the complexity of your home. We tailor a schedule for each individual project prior to construction.
Q. How is my home priced? – A. Our estimator prices each job individually as a one off project and our specification lists all of our/your inclusions.
Q. How do we know whats included in the price? – A. On presentation of our quote we will give you an easy to understand 41 page specification with every item listed that we have allowed for.
Q. Will you accept changes to the plan through the building process? – A. Yes we do. We will look at your request and with the associated costs attached, once you have signed the variation we will act on the change.
Q. Can I do some of the work? – A. Yes this can be arranged. We will look at exactly what you would like to do yourself and assess each situation individually.
Q. What are the stages of building a home? – A. As a general rule there are six stages in the construction process – deposit, base, frame, enclosed, fixing and practical completion.
Q. Do you have standard inclusions? – Yes we do. A. If a client is unsure we will include these in the cost, however these can be changed throughout the building process if need be.
Q. Do you build on sloping sites? – A. Yes we do.
Q. Can you build a pole home? – A. Yes we can.
Q. Can you build on narrow inner city blocks? – A. Yes we can. We can also arrange for town planning if required.
Q. Do I need to sign a contract? – A. Yes you do. We currently use a HIA contract. This will need to be signed by both the client and the builder.
